Starter:
No one likes a “know it all.” You know the type; the person who constantly brags about how much he knows, always showing off, always wanting to be the center of attention. Can you guess what God thinks about someone like this? We’re told that, “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” God can’t do anything with a proud heart. Someone with a proud heart won’t listen to God. That person thinks they know everything already. That’s why we must be humble. It’s the only when we’re humble that we’ll listen to God.
Weekly Memory Verse:
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
James 4:10

Song: Have Thine Own Way, Lord
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Search me and try me, Master, today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.
Search me and try me, Master, today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!
Power, all power, surely is Thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.
Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!
Power, all power, surely is Thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Hold o’er my being absolute sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit ’till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me.
Hold o’er my being absolute sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit ’till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me.
