Barack Obama is our new President. What does the Bible say about our responsibility to him?

God, as creator of man and author of marriage, has the right to regulate marriage. No king, legislature, court, church, parent or individual has the right to make any law that would amend the law of God on this or any other subject.

The balance of power in many homes has shifted from the parents to the children. Perhaps you and your spouse have opted for a “child-centered” home. The purpose of this article is to encourage you to take back control.

The key to taking control is a simple two-step process.

Have you grown tired of hearing syrupy, soft, scriptureless preaching? Are you looking for something more than the fabricated, seeker-sensitive worship performances that have become common? And though the whole concept of “speaking where the Bible speaks and being silent where the Bible is silent” may be a completely foreign concept, would you be sincerely interested if someone would simply explain it to you?

As we studied with the children the other night about Uzzah and David’s ox cart one of them asked, “What does authority mean?” It occurred to me that we often use words in our teaching that are not properly understood by all. With this in mind we decided to revisit this old but important concept.
